This morning, it occurred to me that it’s been two full months of the Anti-Perfectionist.
I’m absolutely thrilled with the community we’re building, the honest conversations we’re having, and the distance we’re putting between ourselves and our perfectionism.
But more importantly, I wanted to check in with you.
How’s your anti-perfectionism going? Are you taking up the space you need? Being kind to yourself?
We’re on a journey here. We’re having big conversations that aren’t always easy. So I want to know how you’re feeling, if you’re open to sharing.
Regardless of where you are on your path to anti-perfectionism, you should know you’re doing amazing. It’s not easy to give yourself space to just exist, especially without harboring the immense pressure of impossible standards. It’s revolutionary, actually.
I’ve been thinking of ways to elevate this newsletter. It’s one thing to talk about my torrid relationship with perfectionism. It’s entirely another to be a resource, something that can make your own journey a little easier.
So this week, I’m doing something a little different. I’m leaving the narrative portion of the newsletter short, and instead, attaching something of a homework page (sorry to those who just completed finals!)
This is something of an experiment, so bear with me.
The thing about this worksheet is it’s yours to do what you will. You can fill it out and keep it to yourself, you can reply to this email with it, or you can ignore it altogether. If nothing else, I would suggest you at least read the questions and consider them.
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. As always, I believe in you, and I hope you have a beautiful week.
